The little monkey and the golden goose

The little monkey and the golden goose

A monkey fall’s,

For a golden goose.

Offers her a cactus,

And his father’s blouse.

The goose confused,

Accepts his turfs,

And kisses him deeply

Under the meadows roof.

As time flies, in golden ray’s,

The goose spreads her wings,

To fly south,

Away from the northern rain night.

The lovely monkey,

With a saddened mind,

Stops her departure

In a desperate cry.

“Stay! My Love!

Don’t leave me behind.

In this grayish world.

Full of ashes and pa’in!”

The Goose smiles softly,

Deeply in love.

Answers with care

and a comforting hug.

“Wait for me,

For six full moons.

I shall return,

With a golden shoe…”

The monkey depressed,

With disappointment at heart.

Refuses to trust

And wait for their love.

“I refuse to be,

With a wandering dream.

So, either stay and we wed!

Or fly high and be free.”

The golden goose,

As confused as she was.

Spread her wings,

Alas, as she flew above.

Left him behind,

With a broken heart.

While following her nature,

Towards horizons and stars.
