The Lawn

I see little dew drops falling,

Her cheeks that radiate the hues of the earth,

Whenever she falls short of breath,

The Universe hasn’t been kind,

She crueler to her own-self,

For a fear dwells in her heart,

What if the Sun never rises again,

Or the rain ceases to fall,

On her oh so merry lawn,

The green her efforts,

On the soil of her skin,

She fears and burns in turmoil,

For a storm that had once broken her bones,

I see fragments of her,

Scattered over the lawn of her being,

I am here to stay, I tell her,

For I’ll bring the Sun and make the clouds drizzle rain,

Onto the lawn,

We together shall build,

Forever and after……
