The Last Scream

There was blood where a toddler crawled once,

Where happy wind blew, none dare to step since.

Five nails broke at every door I slammed,

Five nails of hand rot until the very end.

What was once a holy land now lay dead under my feet,

Holes dark and empty as snakes crawl free.

How long? Voice of old man crying for early death,

Once this ends, there be no guilt, no wrath.

Go back to the shallow home, the cold walls,

I see now, what never existed within those halls.

It isn't the life of unnamed that disappeared that day,

But raw child of their tainting heart that screamed to stay.
