The Last Hope

Deep down in the water,

I am breathing down.

Holding tight, keeping the last hope.

Will anyone be my savior?

I’m drowning.

Deeper.

I was wrong about the ones

Called friends and family.

No one came to save me.

My heart throbs in pain.

And I keep asking - why me?

Deep down.

Drowning deeper.

I close my eyes and think:

Maybe I’ll start my life again.

Nobody came to rescue.

Then I saw light.

I felt light.

I felt my heart stop.

And I go numb.

Will I be saved,

or will I die?

No last hope.

I will die soon.
