The Hoomankind
By Chandini Ravikumar
Our Mothers birthday was round the corner.
‘What shall we gift?’ we were beginning to ponder.
Something special: ‘Where do we find?’
We thought, ‘Why not at the Hoomankind?’
Which was where we met our baby boy,
Whom we named dearly; Rocky.
We welcomed Rocky home,
Who came in running with a naive little face.
He looked so tiny and handsome,
With an ever-charming, and an enchanting grace.
Though seemingly notorious,
Though seemingly curious,
My wonder boy, truly
Became my most precious buddy.
While always exuding energy and vibrance,
In his fawnish appearance,
While always high-spirited and witty,
With an extreme sense of loyalty,
My lovely boy, will undoubtedly
Be, my best companion till eternity.
