The Hedonic Treadmill

The droplets of water

On the dirty window glass of my

Room makes me touch it

And make it imperfect

I don’t like perfect things

Soul wrenching perfect things

That perfect life is a lie!

Job, currency, or car

What makes it perfect?

I see them through the lenses of Instagram

They are so happy

Then I see it closely and realized

They are so imperfect and sad

But imperfect makes us perfect

I smile and switch off from the world,

Enjoying my imperfectly perfect

Mundane life.
