Why is greed fated evil, what about it is so Ill?

A little bit is love,

a little excess is but greed,

It is but the seed from which,

Blossoms success and it's breed..

Greed is but a desire for more,

A pursuit passionate,

An obsession unbridled,

An inebriating high,

A crime divine...

Greed is but mankind's outcast,

Like the scandalous lust,

Beautiful both

untamed and wild,

Undoing after all of man and his kind..

Greed is but a key to much more,

To journeys new,

To greatness galore,

To a better you,

But often alas..

To a greed new...
