The Gift Of Deceit

All the gifts I saved up for and bought

Lie in the corner of my room unsought.

I thought they would be a great surprise

But you surprised me more

With your bundle of lies.

While your breathes exhaled the talks to love

Your actions screamed that I wasn't enough.

All these years I spent treating you like royalty

Expecting nothing in return except your loyalty.

Never mind these gifts

They'll gradually depreciate

But what about my love?

That never seems to fade.
