The Futile Shallows

Dark is the night;

Darker her soul,

An unseen plight

Many stories untold,

She fought the murmurs;

Sacrificing her sleep,

Barely caught herself firmer;

Making one's heart beep,

It's difficult to bother;

It's frightening to understand,

He would rather be alone and ponder;

Maybe he could've lend her a hand,

Oh how he remorses her love;

Oh how he despises the hollow,

Fighting with heavens above;

Left are two broken hearts, in a futile shallow.
