The Fragile Strand.
By Anwesh Ghosh
Once upon a time, in nature's serene grace, Lush forests and rivers adorned Earth's face. But greed and neglect, mankind's dark flaw, Unleashed destruction, a grave environmental jaw.
The skies once painted blue, now choked with smog, The air we breathe, tainted like a poisonous fog. The oceans that teemed with life's vibrant hues, Now littered with plastic, a sight we can't excuse.
The forests, once rich, with trees standing tall, Now echo with silence, a heart-breaking call. Species on the brink, their habitats lost,
Man's insatiable hunger, a dreadful cost.
Glaciers melting fast, as temperatures soar, Polar bears' plight, like never before.
Rising seas swallowing shores with might, Climate change's wrath, a harrowing sight.
The cycles disrupted, delicate balance strained, Earth's resilience tested, our actions explained. Exploitation, pollution, mindless consumption, Environmental damage, a global eruption.
But there's still hope, a chance to restore, To heal the wounds and protect Earth's core. To reduce, reuse, recycle with care,
To cherish and safeguard, a duty we must bear.
Let's unite as one, with purpose and might, To fight for our planet, in the day and night. To cherish nature's gifts, with reverence and love, To sustain, protect, and rise above.
For Earth's beauty, a treasure divine,
A legacy for generations to shine.
Let's heed the call, let's take a stand,
To heal the wounds of our precious land.
So, let's awaken to the urgent need,
To mend the scars, to plant the seed,
Of change and stewardship, hand in hand, To protect our planet's fragile strand.
For Mother Earth, our home so dear,
Deserves our care, year after year.
Let's tread lightly, with respect and awe, Preserving nature's wonders, with love and draw.
Let's act now, with courage and might, To safeguard Earth's splendor, a sacred right. For it's our duty, our moral creed,
To leave a thriving planet, for generations to lead.
