The Flame That Endures

The dawn arrives, not asked, not begged,

Yet light spills over the jagged edge.

The clock still ticks, the joke still jeers,

But something stronger breaks through fears.

A seed lies buried, unseen, unknown,

Yet roots push deep through stone on stone.

The grind may choke, the laughter sting,

But still the seed remembers spring.

We walk through alleys, shadows near,

But carry sparks the dark can’t sear.

Each step defies the weight of night,

Each breath declares: I choose the fight.

The mask may crack, the mirror fade,

But truth survives what time has made.

Dreams once broken rise again,

Like rivers carving through the plain.

The world may whisper, “You are small,”

But even embers can burn it all.

Not with chaos, not with dread,

But with the fire of hope instead.

So let the clock devour its days,

Let laughter echo in cruel displays.

We will not bow, we will not fall

The flame endures, and conquers all
