The Firefly And The Rose

The rose within the glass, a sight so rare,

A blossom of grandeur, beauty beyond compare.

Kept safe, within the kingdom of the beast,

A symbol of love, a promise never ceased.

The lonely firefly, wounded by the storm,

Its life taken away, so frail and forlorn.

Wanting to escape, so it can take flight,

A dream of freedom, an eternal delight.

The rose and the firefly, so different yet alike,

Both wishing to be free, and no longer in strife.

The rose needs a hand, to grant it release,

The firefly seeks the sky, to bid it peace.
