The Figment Of My Thought

The moon visited me last night,

A little gone, a lot of it left.

The white reflection of the burning sun

Cooled my mind, bridged the cleft.

Alone and far away,

It shone like the beacon of hope.

It got me excited and cheerful at once,

Waking up at 2 am was a slippery slope.

Piercing the chest of the dark night,

The moon light broke my slumber.

My inner demons painted my room in red,

Rising from the figment of my thoughts, you put them to cumber.

The fireflies caught my attention,

It lit differently under the moonlight.

The hue was unidentifiable yet, exquisite,

Hugging the pillow, I kept an eye on demons of the night.

You came to save me,

With stars and celestials in your midst.

You came closer and embraced me and my heart,

Our souls entangled, clearing the mist.

It was not the moon that I fancied,

It was you from my dreams.

Slowly, taking the hold of my thoughts,

You inspired wild incantations flowing in my inner streams.

I fancied your presence,

Defying the wall of reality between us.

For the first time, you and I sat together,

It felt like everything but a curse.

Our entangled fingers struggled,

Our souls and thoughts exchanged energy.

You whispered your prayers underneath your breath,

Two souls resonated and two bodies felt the synergy.

It felt like the conspiracy concocted ny the universe,

A reminder that you're a figment of my thought.

The moon vanished and banished me back to darkness,

To not conjure you in my heart was a lesson well taught.
