The Fight Within

The act of ending your life voluntarily is not cowardice,

It reflects how defeated the soul against the wound is.

It is when one does not see a way out of misery,

When you cannot beat life against its trickery.

The magnitude of a war being fought in the mind,

Can only be comprehended by the person in the grind.

All it takes is a singled out painful moment,

For it is very murky – the burden of karmic payment.

The agony inside the heart succumbing to such surrender,

It is impossible at the time to recognise life’s splendour.

The soul wants to reach home and does not need any succour,

A departure from the anguish to a peace none can stir.
