In the dark corner of the

quaint mud-hut,

Someone whispered, someone sobbed

It should not had happened

is all that she hoped.

Closing her ears to the

deep sorrow in his mother’s wailing

was harder than icy-mountain scaling

She knew, he was ailing for long

And wished, if only

She could had travelled along!

May be, her soothing words of love

Would have healed him more than those

potent drug dose!

May be, her warm cooked food

Would have nourished him for good!

For sure, it would have been

Better than the IV fluids and saline water

And May be

It would have bought him some time

With his dotting daughter.

She knew, she must stand strong

Even if, it is nerve-wrecking to age alone.

She knew, what fate did to him and her was wrong,

But she prayed for his health and happiness

At his new place, where he now belong.
