The Essence Of Self-Esteem

By Megha Somani

A term that signifies how we assert ourselves. It portrays our decision-making capabilities and how we appreciate those decisions.

Then why does it need to begin from others? It is most of the time depicted as people’s esteem.

The times when we have heard, “Investments are subject to market risk. Read all scheme-related documents carefully.” Don’t you think it applies to our lives also? Our investments and energies in ourselves, our minds and, our hearts are all subjective. We make it according to people’s whims, choices, and beliefs.

When the word has self, why not revolve our worth and abilities around ourselves. We need to start giving credit for the small deeds we do, for the trivial achievements we accomplish. For the times, we assumed we couldn’t make it and still lived it up with a grin on our faces.

So how about prioritizing our opinions and putting them as the foremost opinion and people’s opinions, as the second last opinions for our well-being. We ought to idolize ourselves and compete with our insecurities every day. So we can cherish our worth and add admiration to our bucket of esteem.
