The Edge Of The World

By Madduri Satya Tejeswar

At long last, I finally see it, as my head whirled,

The beautiful and irrefutable haven;

A place so calm and tranquil,

I'm at the edge of the world.

The wind lulls into a state of serenity

And the air smells of salty relief;

It'll take a while for me to

Reach there, maybe 70, maybe 80.

I hear a faint thumping

As the wind seems to flee;

The world seems to stop

As I see the light shining.
