The Depth Of Me

The thoughts don’t stop,

The tears still flow,

The words I swallowed,

Begging to be known.

Getting through the day is hard,

Waking up from the dreamless sleep is a task,

Faking the good old smile tears me apart,

Yet, still waiting on that fresh new start.

To be free is to let go of the past,

They said it was like reaching a star.

The destination, however, seems too far,

Still giving up was never a part.

The hunger doesn’t feels right,

To keep up seems like an obligatory flight.

To escape the never ending night,

Gotta believe I’ll one day surely see the light.
