There and thus

To turn and fall,

Stretch and sag

‘Neath foliage—

Shadowed streetside cowl.

Around this house,

Lay encircled thou.

A summer walk,

Locked in languid leftover

Capillary of a dream.

Houses half long

And half strange;

Displayed in afternoon livery now,

In this draughty carapace—

Haberdashery of a dream.

The Dangling Lane—

A new name for

Noose Street.
