The Connection

By Diya Adhikary

The first time we talked,

it was for a casual cause.

No play of musical notes,

the match of frequency was at pause.

Chats were not planned attempts,

the topics arose on their own.

The stranger once I encountered,

took shape into something known.

With every sentence,

a tinge of hesitation remained.

But the interest to know more,

never abandoned.

No sign of stirring emotions,

it was not even Spring.

Inexpressible silence,

came into being.
