The Boy With The Most Beautiful Smile

By Vani Nagar

He is my brother’s friend, about 5'9, he has curly brown hairs and that’s what he is known for, his eyes are sharp and deep, one would love the intensity in those lone souls. It is still possible to look away and ignore his beauty, but once your eyes land on his smooth nose and glide down to get the view of his smile, you have to admire his pretty face, his smile is almost magical, the best I have seen since I was born, its healing and genuine. I am not saying he is the most beautiful person, infact I myself have seen prettier people, it’s just how beautifully each feature of his presents itself. I swear he could have been a politician, the way he just speaks all honey, the way he manoeuvers every conversation, and the way he fools you into believing that he knows and understands you. He honestly is trustless, he is a clean liar, I mean, how do you trust him?

Even his eyes lie. But I know what he is, I can see beyond his eyes, beyond himself, I know he is a sad person, and also immature frankly. He is a writer too, we share same interests, we even share the same birthdate, we have a lot in common, but he would never admit. We are so similar that if we were raised together in the same environment, we would have been one. I have to call him “bhaiya" because he is 4 years older than me. Whenever we meet, it’s always the same, I’ll greet him with a “hello bhaiya" and he will give me that divine smile of his and say “I am fine, what about you?”, when he says this, I internally smile, because I know, he just lied! Again! Oh is he really fine? has he ever been fine? No! He has been sad, I know, he has been very sad.
