THE BITTERSWEET INEVITABILITY
It was a lovely period. Winter, the fickle master they were, with cooling winds that lure you to a false safety because of the abuse of Summer only to find their freezing depths, for you to never see the light of day evermore. The dullness the season brought to both places and people was washed away by the comforting embrace of another paramour called Spring.
Spring was a more playful and taunting entity. The weather at times was so hot, many thought it was Summer, that scorching being came to get rid of them faster than the last time, only to be hit with refreshing winds to remind oneself that Spring was simply teasing them.
Spring mourns the death and inherent desolation brought upon by Winter with their impartial storms that were chilly and twisting in a mockery of a tornado, or how the frost deep within their heart is enough to stop another’s. These tears bring about the necessary revival of the earth, along with the awakening of critters to acknowledge their foreign but oh-so-loved master, as the ground now has the means to support what they had lost to Winter.
As the days go by with everyone frolicking in Spring's fields and enjoying the freshness of the produce, Spring is content, but it knows it will end. With the months passing one after another, Spring recognizes but despises the change they will have to undergo to become what they dislike, keeping everything in balance. On the cursed last day of Spring, everyone offers their heartfelt gratitude. This is the sincerity of the people who had been treated gently after what they had suffered before. Spring gives these lambs under their care one last solace, but partway through the air is burning, the winds sharp, with roughness coating the edges, thus painfully reminding the people that what comes after their sweet Spring was a side and season few could love.
