The Bitter Anxiety

I became the monster of my own story,

I felt pity for myself, I felt so sorry.

I did not accept that I was to blame,

All relations now were no longer the same.

I had a beautiful and a blessed journey,

This then turned into a scary story.

All because I focused on what was absent,

I became a victim of my own harassment.

Failure now I could not digest & accept,

My harsh words only created a big disconnect.

I was ruthless, bitter and so rough,

I made my whole life look so tough.

Anger, jealousy, discontent and emptiness,

I was filled with only foolishness.

Where could I run, where could I hide?

I had no one next to my side.

I gave pain and disrespect to my loved one,

How could I undo what I had done?

Looking for happiness, looking for gain,

I am left alone standing in the rain.
