The BestFriend Getaway

We had a plan, a little getaway,

A journey that could last a day.

A chance to rest and clear our minds,

An island far away we'd find.

We chose a place, the Fiji Isles,

A place with beauty that never fails.

The crystal blue of ocean waves,

The secluded beach, a perfect place.

We made the trip, just us two,

A time together, me and you.

A chance to find some inner peace,

To find some solace, if you please.

We watched the waves come crashing down,

Their beauty was a brilliant sound.

The salty breeze was in the air,

The sun was shining everywhere.

We swam and laughed, the days went by,

The memories we shared were so high.

The endless beauty of the beach,

A moment in which I could not reach.

We said goodbye to Fiji's shore,

The days that we had were so much more.

A journey for two, a perfect pair,

A getaway, a moment to share.

We walked away with hearts so full,

The memories, they would not dull.

The time together, it was so pure,

A getaway, with my best friend, for sure
