The Battle Within

Every day passes by

leaving behind no igniting spark.

The present self-questions itself,

unknowingly slipping into the dark.

Inner disbelief grows

letting fear rejoice.

Over-powering external noises

choke the inner voice.

The soul peeks from within

beckoning the mind to follow.

"Rise above the limiting thoughts!"

screams the spirit from below.

Teary eyes create a path

the inner emotions led across.

The rage, the grief, the cry;

the will fights for a pass.

There comes a tranquil light

emitting from the inner core.

The unshaken determination

is all set to restore.

The shaky leg tries again

to stand up with all its might.

Seeing the limitless gait,

the ground also supports its fight.
