The Acid Attack

Smiling all the way,

Ready to achieve my dreams.

Unaware of the fact that,

My laughter would turn into screams.

People gave me eerie stares,

Nobody chose to look at me.

My skin started melting,

I could feel the burning sensation, you see.

No he didn’t touch me,

But he ripped away my soul.

It left me terribly shaken,

No one could even console.

He came, he threw,

And ran away.

In a fraction of seconds,

My identity was taken away.
