That Sports Tee
By Stephen Deepak
It looked so lovely, bright with stripes on the sleeve, Oh, when I wore it, it was easy and light on me. It fitted me right, pushed my confidence tight, The kind they make these days, attires fitting any shoulder and chin.
Up I wore that morning, I walked to the park with glee, Exuding the confidence, the sports tee brought in me. All was well, I strided boldly with big athletic steps, Until, I chanced an ogling eyeball pinching at my hip and chest.
Down sank my confidence, like quicksand with the sports tee, my mouth dried, beat skipped and galloped, I was sinking. I squirmed, looking uneasy, his eyes would not leave my chest, What could I do? the sports tee had just made me look good.
My bold stride became weak, stripes fell off my sleeve, The sports tee made me chic, but it drew an oglers attention. Do I wear it or discard? Should I wear something loose? Just a sports tee got this up, I was lost between comfort and safety, between withdrawal or way forward?
