Do you still read our year old texts

And wonder what happened

For them to seem like a world apart.

Do you still have such conversations

Or miss the ones we had

Which held the first and the last greeting of your busy days.

Do you still spend wasteful hours

Drunk in nostalgia

Holding on to the virtual past

As technology (and your compulsion) ensures its safety.

Do you still tease your decisive brain

And feel yourself breaking

Trying to go back,

Trying to save a ghost.
