Terminology Of Love

The terminology of love is flawed

It’s like an icebox that can’t be thawed

It’s popularly said that you fall in love

Why? What are you? A downward spiraling dove?

Why do we fall and not rise?

Is the concept too hard to surmise?

I believe love makes you do wonderful things

Makes the heart soar high and makes you believe you have wings!

Love is source of literature and art

An emotion that is governed solely by the heart

Love is a great motivator

Makes you like even your biggest hater

So we are agreed that love is great

But still I ask you why does it get so much hate?

Why does everyone shield their hearts?

And I am not talking about wearing face masks

Why is it called a bad thing?

Is it really so terrible when your heart does a ding?

Well love is different for everyone

Sometimes it is lonely and sad and sometimes it is enjoyable and fun!

It always starts of exciting at first

But the more you get into it, the more your bubbles burst

Someone is too possessive, the other is too controlling

One can be sadist and the other can be plain boring!

You would think people in love would be better

But most would use it as an excuse to just falter further

And when the faltering begins

The loved one finally sees that evil within

Thus begin the drama and the fights

Snuffing out all the love like a matchstick light

The fights grow incessantly

Till the person you loved, soon becomes a stranger despondently

Maybe that is why most fall in love

Because it is easier to fall down than rise up.

Yet i would like to still have faith

Some people do come out unscathed

Those are the real heroes, the ones who rose from the ashes

They wear their love proudly on their face like happy water splashes

So love wins some and loses many

But sure leaves everyone who gets into it slightly zany

But since many fall so little rise

I think I can now apprise

Why the terminology of love is flawed

Why it is in an icebox that can’t be thawed
