तेरा-मेरा, तू-तू मैं-मैं की कहानी

तेरा-मेरा, तू-तू मैं-मैं की कहानी,

ईर्ष्या-द्वेष-छल-कपट-दंभ!

थी समझ कहाँ इनकी उसको, वो ठहरा बाल-मन,

तेरा-मेरा, तू-तू मैं-मैं तक सीमित।

माँ एक बात बताऊँ, मैंने नहीं की कोई बेईमानी,

बस अपने में हार ना मानी।

एक प्रतियोगिता, अनेक प्रतिभागी,

था सबको प्रथम आना, भला क्या ये हो सकता था?

मास्टर जी कहते हैं हुआ यही, हो सभी विजयी।

माँ, बात समझ कुछ आई नहीं,

आखिर सभी विजेता कैसे?

माना तुम प्रथम, पर वे भी अनुत्तीर्ण नहीं,

क्योंकि हार उन्होंने भी नहीं मानी, प्रतियोगिता के वे भी प्रतिभागी।

अंतर सिर्फ इतना, तुम प्रथम और वे द्वितीय, तृतीय, चतुर्थ आदि।

क्या बात समझ आई, जो अभी समझाई,

हाँ समझ गया, मैं प्रथम पर वे भी अनुत्तीर्ण नहीं।

तेरा-मेरा, तू-तू मैं-मैं की कहानी,

क्योंकि हार उन्होंने भी नहीं मानी।
