Tenacious Titans

How distant are you from me,

She soughed;

Arose from the feather bed,

Ivory drapes flapping in wind,

Rushing in through the dormer,

Gleam of silver moonlight in the;

Ominously dark room

Glaring at the open casement,

She abruptly noticed a shadow

Angst engulfed her mind,

Body trembling in fear

Apparition moving closer;

Towards the silver ray,

Closer enough to be able to explicit;

Those radiating lazuline eyes,

Eyes resembling him

Impassioned by familiarism,

Stunned & dismayed,

Uttered his name out loud in guttural tone

With a grin; he responded,

“I’m here for my eternal half”

Warm tears sliding down cheeks,

In silence they stood;

Unable to explicit;

Overwhelmed emotion of hearts,

Long gone emotions plunged;

In the bleeding heart of the ocean

Resisting the dominating silence,

Enraged & contentedly; she inquired

You abandoned the woman;

Who loved you unconditionally;

With all her heart & soul;

Into agony & isolation solely

Not a single moment surpassed,

Forgetting the ravishing woman;

Who got me mesmerized in her beauty & adept,

He uttered dewy eyed

Smiling felicitously; she conveyed,

Still sensing the Giant RMS wavering,

Scent of fresh paint,

Hordes & chaos

Above all the audacious man,

Who beheld me with those eyes;

Deep azure eyes,

Staring in silence,

Unravelling my puzzled heart

One who lectured on pure love,

Besides never once cited endurance of its loss,

Abandoning me behind;

To get emersed in it

Every midnight I sensed your warm touch,

Picturized our ecstatic moments,

Listened our soothing serenade

Besides when I arose you disappear,

No longer I can indulge in unbidden thoughts

She pleaded with wrenching heart

With unfeigned distraught; he conveyed,

Fate set us apart,

“I’m no Lord to rewrite our fate”

He promised to find her;

Once his questing ends,

Quest for immortal love

Held her gentle hands,

Handed a fragile lilac winter crocus

Symbolising the Greek eternal love

“For my eternal half”; he quoted,

Vanished into unrevealing darkness

No more splash of silver ray;

Nor rush of cool breeze,

Left aside was a gloomy room &;

His eternal beloved

Screaming out aloud,

She woke herself from the deep sleep;

Sleep that swallowed her enough

To not let her discern;

Reality & mere delusion

Her eyes wandered corner to corner;

In search of her soulmate

Besides the winter floweret;

Nor her beloved were to be found

Feeling soulless & abandoned;

She headed to the dormer,

Gazed at the circlet moon,

Without any further thoughts;

Closed her weepy eyes,

Abruptly leaped off the dormer!

One last gasp for breath,

Lifeless body lying in green turf

Soul isolating from corpse;

Rising up into the celestial;

In quest of her eternal half

Together they encountered,

Blossoming saffron crocuses,

Cherishing immortal love,

Reuniting shattered memories,

Chanting their serenade with open hands; merrily

Neither fate nor the creator united them,

Besides the indomitability of love,

Love of two unsinkable pure souls

Alas! the gigantic ship bearing overwhelming love;

Sank in the North Atlantic heart of the ocean,

Besides in million hearts;

Still buoyantly in motion,

Confronting all serrated glacious icebergs,

Endlessly heading towards;

Pier 59 New York city,

City that never sleeps

Indeed! the overwhelmingly tenacious titan it is
