Tempest
By Pahul Padam
Darkness crept from the horizon, Imprisoning all in its wake.
Its icy chill brought upon treason,
I had forgotten what was at stake.
From the shadows they grew,
Extending out, atrocities uncaged
As demons unleashed, the winds blew,
And I succumbed to the tempest's rage.
The winds began howling,
And the path became treacherous to see.
Lungs stricken and gasping,
Its iron-clad grasp bound me.
Then time lapsed, and the tempest ceased,
A balance struck upon the realm.
A communion wrought peace,
As narrow lanes converged towards a great ring of elm.
