Tears

I awake.

My face smashed against the ground,

Pain pries my eyes wide open.

Am I found,

or have I drowned

in this waterless abyss?

The ripping inside me,

leaves me motionless.

It’s not gore-

It’s so much more.

Once, we were rich

With the angelic souls

whom we created,

what we have become

can’t be what the universe

has fated.

No, not for us

not like this.

Once, we were bound by connection,

Now, all that remains is rejection.

Tell me…

Have you found a funother?

I will let go.

But know this-

I would have loved you

Beyond forever.

I have tried…to hold us together,

I have cried…

I now need clarity,

to face this new reality.

I awake.

Am I found or have I drowned

In this waterless abyss?

No.

Searching for you to complete me

Is not how it should be.

I see that now.

I have not drowned.

I am found.

Not in you.

Not in love we lost.

But in the angelic souls

We brought forth into this world.

In that sacred space,

I stand whole.
