Sweet Smell Of Rain, Linger On.

Little drops of dew, where are you?

Can’t you see I want to feel free?

Waited all year for your pitter patter

Gleam and bated breath, doesn’t it matter?

I wake up one day, my eyes light up,

The sun is not out, yet my day brightens,

Dark rumbling clouds never looked prettier

The smile on my face never looked sillier.

“It’s here, It’s here!”

I shout out loud

Let me break the rules, dance on the road

Let me stand out amongst this crowd.

Oh misty fresh morning, how I missed you,

The leaves seem greener, the soil blue,

Strangers no more, we all unite as one,

As smiles branch out and frowns grow few.

Gentle petals of rain fall on my head

Why am I happy when I’m all drenched?

Cause today I may have a million issues

Yet I’m at peace, my thirst quenched.

Life will take its course as it does

Look for such magic in between,

This heavenly shower is what we all need

So carry on, carry on till I bleed.
