Never really belonging anywhere

Feeling like nobody cares

Thinking that I'm in control

But truth be told , I am;

Always on the outside looking in

Forever stuck behind a veil so thin;

Summers and springs, sunflowers and lavender

Where did my happiness go i constantly wonder

Into the abyss that is my own thoughts

Sinking into my darkness alone; I am,

Always on the outside looking in

Forever stuck behind a veil so thin;

Trying to resolve the inner conflict

no escape from the quicksand of guilt

Thoughts playing on a constant loop

Why am I like this? Constantly dissociated from whatever I do; I am,

Always on the outside looking in

Forever stuck behind a veil so thin;

Trying to take flight towards the light

From a land of forever night and blight

Every dawn brings new hope I think

But constantly ignoring the cries within; I am,

Always on the outside looking in

Forever stuck behind a veil so thin.
