Sweet life on deck ~ Miss Clouds

Sweet life on deck

But I’m not on the deck.

It’s just an imagination I have

Perspective matters but the world just doesn’t look at it like that

My smile starts to jade as I realise it’s just an illusion

That breeze, that warmth as the sun kissed my skin

The soreness I felt in my body from all that laughter

It all felt so real, it did

It was real well at least in that moment

but it all ended that one morning

It all ended with a bang!

Now all I hear is screams

You didn’t have to leave me like that

No one deserves to break like that

Yet you made it look easy

My brain doesn’t let me remember much

I guess it’s for the best

It knows I’d crumble

My new reality has become this illusion
