Sweeping vista
A speck of light , generating a feeling so aesthetic, Begins to rise in a manner so majestic,
Peeping from behind the veil ,
Ready to go on a path breaking trail!
Over the horizon , between the peaks,
To illuminate the planet , different paths it begins to seek. Announcing the crack of dawn,
The grand arrival of the much awaited morn,
Rising unfailingly for aeons and aeons….
Chasing away the darkness into oblivion.
Splashing across the sky the orange, red and yellow hues, Offering panoramic views!
Oh the burst of blinding light ,
Makes the world so colourful , beautiful and bright! Another day to begin life afresh , anew ,
Everyone gets ready to toil hard to strain every nerve and sinew !
Cutting through the darkness, the mist, and the fog ,
The Sun God begins to etch His daily blog .
Carrying rays of hope,
Energising us, with challenges , to cope .
As the gentle waves wash the shore ,
The glistening waters one can’t but adore!
Caressing the mountains, the hills, and the trees that stand quite tall , Through the doors and windows illuminating the wall , Greeting the crops swaying in the breeze ,
Smiling at the fruit laden plants and trees ,
Beaming with joy and pride
At the flowers which are staring wide - eyed ,
The sun takes giant strides across the globe ,
Wrapped in its golden yellow robe.
Clearing their vocal cords the birds blissfully break into a welcome song , To lend a ear to their concert the preoccupied humans earnestly long,

To catch a glimpse of you, to the hills and beaches the people throng !
Conversing in a tone that’s between a whisper and a roar , Blessing us through the seasons two and four ,
We salute you, the giver of life
For showering your blessings on us, the inhabitants of your fief ! Gayatri. MP
