In the sunset years, the day is done The long and winding journey, finally won A time to slow down, and take it all in To savor the memories, and the stories within

The road ahead, now a bit less clear But the view from here, oh so dear The golden sun, in the sky so vast A reminder of the beauty, that life can cast

The sunset years, a time to reflect On all that's come, and all that's left The moments of joy, and the tears of pain A reminder that life, is never quite the same

The laughter of youth, and the wisdom of age A blend of memories, on life's winding stage A story of moments, of love and of loss Of courage, and faith, and the strength of the cross

The sunset years, a time to slow down To take a breath, and look around To appreciate the beauty, that's all around And the love, that's been there, in times profound

The bonds of family, that never fade The friends, who've stood by, in every shade The love, that's been there, in every phase A true testament, to life's constant grace

The sunset years, a time to give back To all those, who've been on the track To lend a hand, and ease the way To be a blessing, every single day

To leave a legacy, that will endure To share the love, that's so pure To be a light, in the darkest night A beacon of hope, that shines so bright

The sunset years, a time of peace A chance to let go, and release The worries, and the fears, that once held sway To embrace the beauty, of every single day

To watch the world, with wonder and awe To see the love, that's at the core Of every moment, that's ever been To cherish the sunset, and let life begin

The sunset years, a time of grace A time to leave, a lasting trace On the hearts and minds, of all they meet A true testament, to life's sweet defeat
