Sunlight

Bougainvillea white,

in shimmering sun light

moan at the fate of

all those in sight.

Some are in fight,

and some are in flight,

and for some their lover

waiteth the night.

Who is to say then,

what's wrong and what's right?

Which cipher we missed

in discerning her might?

We're fighting our own,

what shall be our plight?

How shall we deserve

this shimmering sunlight?
