Substance Abuse Addiction

Substance abuse addiction is an addiction of an unwanted substances like tobacco,cigarettes,alcohol,drugs and any other substances that affects the overall health of the body and also shorten the life span of a person.

Substance abuse is one of the main reason which brings a lot of chaos in the family,society and pulls down the progress and development of the country as a whole.It makes the country poor and under-developed.A person who is indulged in substance abuse addiction does not only affect his health individually but also causes mental heatlth to the family members, especially his/her children.If the children are not being raised in a healthy and happy environment,it destroys their creativity and eventually they are unable to be productive.This will overall hamper the growth and development of the country because the youths and young minds are the most valuable resources and the asset to the country.

It destroys relationships and creates a lot of mis-understanding and conflict.

There are many reasons which makes people fall trapped into such addiction,being unemployed and finding no jobs may be one of the reason,it may also be due to low self-esteem and feeling lonely and unloved,depression,unhealthy relationships,getting involved in the wrong social group because consuming of these substances gives a lot of relieves,relaxation and peace of mind for a short period of time.People generally consume these substances in order to escape the reality of life.

In order to eradicate such addiction,the government and many institutions have come up with various rehabs and counselling centres.These centres have helped many of them come out of such addiction.The government should also make compulsory that every educational institutions should have a counsellor who can counsel young minds so that they won’t fall prey to such temptations.Parents as well as teachers play an important role in moulding and shaping young minds to be a better person.Youths who are indulged in substance addiction instead of becoming a blessings to the society,they turned out to be a burden.

As tax on these substances are highly charged,people who are addicted thinks they are the backbone of the economy whereas their own backbone is deteriorating.
