Submission

By Rimjhim Nigam

I shut my eyes, I see dark.

I open them, not a light's mark.

Treading carefully at step one,

I fall and squall in no fun.

I suddenly see a bright ray,

run with might, to find a way.

As I reach there finally,

the light is pitch black actually.

It's just that its demeanour is bright,

although it's dark on the inside.

Surfs forward to consume me,

I submit thereby timidly.
