Stuck In The Middle

words, even letters

floating in the air

looking to land

in quiet despair

weighing down the eyelids

stuck in the throat

dancing on the lips

with no way out

and when they exit

in disjointed stances

you'd wonder

what do you call

a stray thought,

a mere fragment;

is it still a story

when there's no prelude

or an end?
