Streams Of A Violet Limelight
By Anamika Kumari
Streams of a violet limelight
casting over a bromide requiem—
silver dusted fingertips lingering
over silver collarbones,
teeth biting into waxed red
along the rubbed off leather perfume—
prayers, that snuck through the stubble
and the shoulder blades from the whiskey burn,
caught two worlds in a whimsy,
caught a dream rebel, and snuff out,
caught five hundred ghosts
between two tongues,
where you and I, softly danced
in the crowd, in our walking graves.
