Story Of The White Coat

An emotion, a sentiment,

A pride in serving, a betterment,

A life of sacrifices is all it denotes!

The story of a white coat.

When life is valued as one’s own life,

And even one deceased, is a consciences’ strife,

The efforts to save that went in vain,

Certified as an ‘error, negligence and lack of brain’!

When life for life is a constant threat

The words of these ‘doctors’ from the internet!

As cowardice meets insanity at its peak

With taking another life, what do they seek?

The brutality and cruelty- these heinous acts,

Leaving the life of common man ransacked,

When the selfless becomes the sufferer,

And world puts its faith in the vanity of the abusers!

To fall prey to these non-sensical ideologies,

To conceptualise his selfless deeds with utmost hostility,

And the law fails to provide justice,

As ethics and codes are inapplicable to the vice!

And despite every fight, doctors stand up again,

To let go, and serve, thence heal their own pain,

Because a life full of ‘compromises’ is what it denotes,

The story of the white coat.
