Stars And Me

Tonight, the sky looks peaceful and enchanting

as if a painter decided to paint this vast sky with his magical brush.

I lay there, on the roof, under this scenic beauty;

my fingers pointing at each star, including the moon

marking them as mine.

I count while I sing as my eyes soak in the glorifying beauty and comforting presence.

One, two, three, four

Let me tell you a thing that I never said before.

Five, six, seven, eight

You are my kryptonite, my delight in this dull life.

Nine, ten to the millions and billions

I wish for the time to freeze in this moment,

drowning me in this calmness for an eternity.
