It was a chance encounter

Out of the blue

She heard a voice

That was new

Drawn to it

Like a moth to a flame

She wanted to know more

But was hesitant

To ask him any more

But curiosity was

Rampant in her

To know his soul

Better

Stalked him to

Observe and understand

Followed him like a

Lost puppy

Wherever he goes

Just to listen to his voice

Searching for a chance to speak

She was snubbed

By him even once

That made her be

Determined more

To win over his heart

And make him hers

Till the day of reckoning came

She found a way

That made her gay

Got to know he was instructing

Spoke to him about teaching

Her over- bearing stance

Made him take a glance

At the woman she was

Was intrigued by the behaviour

And curious about her demeanour

But he held back from asking her

Wanted to see how it played out

Nonchalantly replied to her message

Conversations flowed

Time lost its meaning

Minutes turned to hours

They were kindred souls

Who found each other

By accident or destiny

They matched in

Points too many

Like two halves of the

Same soul

They carried their

Thoughts over the shore

Of the deep seas

And the faraway mountains

Learning to glide

And letting things slide

At their own pace

Without any haste

I never met him in person

But travelling with a bond so deep

Our days were filled with messages

And our eyes with dreams

We were waiting for the hour

To feel each other

Skin to skin

And breathe in

The scent of our love

Hanging in the air

Making us drunk on

The heady wine

Of passionate kisses

And torrential love making

Marking our soul

Making us whole

Numbering the days

And counting the minutes

To feel the experience

Connecting to the soul

That will make us feel whole

We are two halves

Of the same coin

Complimenting each other

For now and beyond !!
