Spooking Up In October

Up in the sky

Deep there lies

With all of heaven’s might

A breezy blow

An orchid’s harvest

The rain as it sprinkles

Always leaves a trace

For Those who are brave

As the blow

Gushes past the wave

Up the mountain

With a glistening fountain

As those swayed

The little ones played

As they were out of breath

Their moms were staking their health!

But whatever it was

It was magical as it were

The houses filled spook

The streets with bats

And shopping centres with jack’o lanterns

Children as trick or treaters

Parents as candy distributors

Toddlers eating their costumes

Parents shrugging in gloom

October is spooking up

Like the middle of the night

Where there is no sun
