Soulful Confessions to Lord Muruga
By Aarthi Ramachandran
Inner demons come in many forms
They think their way through thoughts, unmindful of outside norms.
Your saving grace pierces the myriad veils of blindness,
Unseeing you becomes impossible, your pure white light ending the darkness.
You are a vision, an emotion, and beauty of the soul,
Your vel (spear) ignites the lies within to heaps of charcoal.
A slow burning fire at first but consumes one’s inner false world to full,
As we become one with your calming gaze, an unspoken magnetic pull.
Your love has no two ways to it,
Help us love you back in truth, humility, and faith, oh Muruga,
And remove us from our karmic pit.
