Sonnet #3 - The Loneliness of Abandonment

Have you ever felt the loneliness of abandonment?

That sickening sense that you are your only source of guidance?

Like all of hell’s demons stream past you as if you’re a disappointment,

And God’s rejected all your attempts to repent?

Yeah - that’s me right now.

I fear this shall never improve.

I feel as if God has taken His last bow,

And from my life, is removed.

Nothing makes sense anymore,

And everything feels unstable.

Like a ship battling waves far from shore,

An existence… most unfavorable.

My soul, full with empty.

My head, living in fantasy.
