Someone’s At The Door.

One knock at the door, fragile and bleak,

everyone is too loud and busy to even peep.

Two knocks at the door, unconfident with doubt,

There is no one looking at you and going on about.

Three knocks at the door, with newfound courage mustered,

a fellow introvert nods at you with a sly smile plastered.

Four knocks at the door, firm and demanding,

you grab the attention of half the people standing.

Five knocks at the door, impatient and vexed,

people look at you as though they’re the ones being hexed.

One last knock at the door, with lost hope and pride,

will anyone ever answer the door or will faith have to die.
